July 7, 2020 – DHC New York State Government Relations Chair Steve Malito and New York City and Westchester County Government Relations Chair Arthur Goldstein co-authored an op-ed in the Westchester County Business Journal explaining the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on nonprofit organizations. The pandemic, which resulted in strict lockdowns and the shuttering of many businesses, now has the economy in a fragile state, depriving state and local governments of resources they provide to nonprofits.
