October 9, 2019 – Financial Management, a trade publication for corporate and financial executives, turned to DHC’s Trusts and Estates Senior Counsel Jennifer Abelaj for her expertise on the ethical duty to report fraud. Abelaj, a certified public accountant whose work in the Trusts and Estates practice group often focuses on fiduciary responsibilities, explained that accountants and financial professionals have a fiduciary duty to report suspected fraud to management and often, under state and federal law, to regulatory agencies.
