June 23, 2021 —Today Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that as of tomorrow, June 24, 2021, the state of emergency in New York will end. Please see Governor Cuomo’s press release here. This means that ALL emergency executive orders will expire tomorrow, including all those pertaining to legal and court proceedings.

Please note that a number of the executive orders, like moratoriums on foreclosures and evictions, were codified into law and remain in full force and effect until the expiration of the relevant statute.

Obviously, this is a very exciting time for New Yorkers and we hope all of you are getting back to normal. But this may also produce a number of questions. Please let us know if we can be helpful in answering any of your questions or concerns about the end of the emergency.

We look forward to everyone having a happy and healthy summer.
