DHC's Client Logan Bus Receives 5-Year $1.5 Billion Contract

June 4, 2021 — Davidoff Hutcher and Citron’s client, Logan Bus Company, unveiled its new electric fleet of school buses earlier this month at an event attended by Mayoral Hopeful and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, seen in photo with Arthur Goldstein, Chair of our NYC Government Relations practice. Logan is the first bus company to introduce an electric vehicle in the U.S. and will commence using its electric vehicles in September.

DHC’s Legal and Government Relations teams completed negotiating a historic five-year, $1.5 billion contract for Logan to maintain vital school bus operations for New York City’s Pre-K and elementary students and have guaranteed reliable busing through the end of the next Mayor’s administration, including summer school. The contract negotiations took over three years, involving the Mayor’s Office, the New York City Department of Education, the New York City Corporation Counsel, the New York City Office of Labor Relations, the New York City Comptroller, the New York City Economic Development Corporation and the applicable Union(s).

The contract will also have a positive environmental effect as Logan and other Legacy companies will reduce the age of their school buses, implement new and improved business practices and technological advances to streamline bus routes, and will provide a fleet of electric buses.
