Matthew Schommer

Professional Experience

Mr. Schommer is involved in a variety of discretionary and as-of-right zoning and land use matters. He represents developers, non-profit organizations, and homeowners at the Department of City Planning, City Planning Commission, Board of Standards and Appeals, Department of Buildings, Environmental Control Board, and other city agencies. He advises clients on development potential for sites, and has significant experience with the Zoning Resolution and other construction regulations including the Multiple Dwelling Law and building codes. Mr. Schommer is also involved in transfers of development rights and other real estate transactional matters.

Prior to joining Davidoff Hutcher and Citron, Mr. Schommer was an associate at another New York City land use firm. Mr. Schommer is an active member of the Land Use, Planning and Zoning Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
