Emily Munson is an Associate in DHC’s Commercial Litigation group. Ms. Munson focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and Intellectual Property. Ms. Munson has represented clients in a variety of disputes including fraud, breach of contract, professional malpractice, copyright and trademark, regulatory investigations, and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy.
While in law school, Ms. Munson participated in Duke’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, successfully representing an inmate in his appeal to the Fourth Circuit. The district court had dismissed the inmate’s petition for habeas corpus as untimely and the team from Duke obtained a reversal of that decision on appeal.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Munson practiced commercial litigation at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle.
